Seasonal Beer

Maibock (May – September)

During the 13th century, citizens of Einbeck shared a large public kettle in which they brewed their beer. The kettle moved from home to home as each household used it to produce a batch of beer. The order of the houses was determined by a lottery on May 1st, hence the name Maibock. Brewed with three malts, our version has the richness associated with all Bock (Strong) beers of Germany but still maintains a velvety smoothness characteristic of all Sierra Beers.
